Our founder

• In 1995 only a small handful of schools existed in Thailand that provided a bilingual education.IBS was one of the first, and continues, to lead in bilingual education.
• Having a decade of direct experience as a Marketing and Operations Director who led and managed one of the most reputable language schools around Thailand, with several overseas educational journeys, Ms. Amporn Amornrat and her team of educational leaders envisioned a school that could provide an innovative bilingual education. They imagined a home-like and modern learning community dedicated to a truly bilingual education; one that embraced diversity, inculcated its learners with essential future skills and valued the practice of Thai cultural heritage.
• IBS first opened its gates on the sunny morning of April 11th, 1995. Our first batch of young learners manifested this dream into a reality. IBS went on to become one of the very first schools in Thailand to offer a comprehensive bilingual education from Pre-Kindergarten to Secondary level by 2003. Focused on student development in 4 key areas: Language, Leadership, Ethics, and Technology, IBS integrated various teaching methodologies, using innovative educational platforms to create an enriched and unique bilingual curriculum. By the time the first graduates commenced their learning journey, the IBS name had become well recognised by all. In the years since, thousands of students and hundreds of teachers have left their marks on the school, all contributing in their own ways. IBS itself has grown, expanding its campus and extending its vision throughout Thailand. Yet at our core we remain a community of future leaders, prepared to make the world a better place.
